This is the idea behind the Northwest Homegrown Music Festival Initiative.
THE QUESTION
There are already many different kinds of music festivals, and they are great places to see and experience live performances by established artists alongside thousands of other fans.
But why aren’t there more opportunities for developing musicians to experience that same kind of exposure?
To step beyond the clubs, bars, small venues, and online audiences and onto a larger, professionally produced stage where they can show a new audience what they can do?
THE CONCEPT
The Northwest Homegrown Music Festival is an initiative to explore how we can help create that opportunity.
Our goal is to provide developing and independent artists with a real chance to perform on a big stage.
There they can gain experience, connect with new listeners, showcase their music, and take another step forward in their journey.
At the same time, we want it to become a place where audiences can enjoy the artists they already know while discovering musicians they may be hearing for the very first time.
